Squall, the Bleriot plans link I posted didn't work for me either. Try this instead. Thanks for your link.

Thanks for the link Richard. Not trying to change the subject here, but I was at the Rhinebeck Aerodome last fall and did see a Bleriot.....

They taxied it out and took off, just about 10 feet and landed again. Pretty cool.

They also have some super WWI planes including the DR1 which put on quite a show.......

I guess I'm going to have to build a Bleriot now!

Short video of a take off of my Dr1. My 6yr daughter decided to come yesterday to witness the maiden flight of the Polaris, and took some photos and video of the triplane as well.
Still flying strong and long flights!

Beautiful. It looks nice again. Flies like a bird. Bet you are very happy. Your daughter did a nice job filming too. Congratulations on the flight.

Looks good again Villalji! The great thing about these foamies is the ease of repair!

I maidened my DR1 yesterday. I have a fixed tail skid and 3" main wheels that are too small, but all I could find. Our field has a fabric runway and it would not taxi in a straight line at all. The grass is high and in need of cutting so taxiing on the grass was difficult.

Once I had it moving fairly straight on the grass I gave it some throttle and about 1/3 throttle and 10 feet, it was off the ground. Once in the air I found it really easy to fly. By the end of the first flight it was doing loops, rolls, Immelmans and hammerheads. I landed and found that taxiing was no problem if I kept some speed up.

Flew two more flights with no problems. Didn't get any video. This is going to be a great flying plane and looks good in the air too. When I built this one, I did make the nose about 3/4" longer and made the tail feathers about 10% bigger. The Park 480 motor has plenty of power.

Thanks for the original plans jetset!

Thanks for sharing that Propspinner! It is a very cool plane. I saw another full scale replica at Rhinebeck last fall, but it didn't fly.

Your welcome.

I guess every Fokker DR1 you see is a replica.

Does anyone know of any other WW I plane plans available her at RCGroups?

Other than the DR 1, I've built:

Sopwith Pup:

The Sopwith Pup flies pretty good, but I haven't flown the SE 5 yet.

I know it's another DR1 but this one is a much simpler build and flies superbly.
