Salty: Nope. JR is DMSS. Spektrum is DSMX. Oil and water. And thanks everyone, expecially Neil, you've got me strongly considering Graupner......

Thanks for not taking offence. I thought I was going to start a flame war. I use a Graupner MC22 transmitter fitted with a Jeti Duplex module. If I was starting now I would consider Jeti, Graupner, and FrySky.

Neil.

Roger that...... The Jeti that I can afford is in "black", which seems to be the popular fashion these days..... (also the newest DX-9 and Dx6i is offered in black), (is black is marketed as "badass"?" ) which isn't my thing..... before that it was "titanium" or something.... the thought of my radio being black and cooking in the sun bothers me.... so, I'm boiling it down to some version of Jeti or Graupner MZ-18.... Thanks....

My jr dmss rx has everything inside the fuse. Standard sailplane stuff with 2.4 friendly nose. The bottom of fuse is a good place.

Nothing, no big deal, unless you let it slam in and it bounces backward and on the rudder. Just never been an issue.

I have slammed all of my Perfections very very hard and achieved bounces that might make some Olympic athletes jealous. No rudder Breakage at all.
