Hi Mike!

Thanks for the link but I already chewed myself thru the whole topic.
Just want to know that if I replace the motor for the mentioned one than just need to make 2 bigger holes on the mount and thats it.?.
That was not 100% clear for me.

The ESC is another question but I will see how it's handle that motor.
I have this car ESC btw.: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...s_Car_ESC.html

Still waiting HK for replacing my motor or at least answer stg about it.
Cheers!

Couple things...
The motor you linked too pulls 34amps max according to the specs. Allowing for overhead, your ESC should be rated at 45amps minimum. I like to allow plenty of overhead in my setups - so I would be running a 60amp ESC . Not sure if a car type ESC would be better than a plane type for this application. Don't know enough bout airboats at this time.

After reading through this thread, I wanna get one of these... http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...686623779.html - next month. It's a swamp dawg with different decals. Check out the motor mount setup, it's different than the dawg - according to reviews on HK it's better - look under files tab @ international store.

Thinking 25C not enough for a 34amp motor (I'm sure prop size affects amp draw), 35C might be a better choice for airboats.

I kinda want reverse gear to be able to get unstuck instead of a swimming, so will prolly get this 30A esc (without the fan or watercoolery).

Would using a 5x5 prop help some? Pardon the newb questions, thanks y'all.

c6doki, IMHO, I think you should follow MDK_187's advise. If you install an ESC smaller than what the electronics put out, you'll fry your system in no time.
