Dr Mad Thrust chrome 64mm
I just received the new Dr Mad Thrust 64mm edf unit from HK.
Sadly, I have to report the major problem with this new fan unit is that it is actually a 60mm fan. Only the outer casing diameter is 64mm.
Unfortunately for my application (a Freewing 64mm jet) this is next to useless. The gap is just too big, Freewing jet accepts a true 64mm fan which has an outer casing diameter of approx 67mm.
I am not sure if I'm going to test this unit any further or just sell it on.
I wonder if all the fans in the new HK chrome electroplated range are undersized?
If so, perhaps the 68mm version is a true 64mm fan?
