Mechanical dethermalisers

Hi there

Anyone have a source of the above please.

I know Graupner do the 153 but is there anything else available out here.

Maybe even D.I.Y. ? ?

Any help gratefully received.

Happy New Year to all.

Regards

from near Bath, England

Art, I'm sort of assuming here that you are talking about the timer unit itself?

There's a couple of the specialty outfits that make parts for FAI free flight that have carbon fiber stab platforms and other carbon bits and pieces. But generally the needs of each design are so specific that the hooks for rubber bands on the stabilizers, platforms for the leading edges to pivot on and other bits are custom made from thin aircraft plywood or G10 board or things of that sort to suit each specific model.

Mechanical dethermaliser TIMERS

Hi and thanks for the response.

I can get all the bits and bobs nicely made as my bro is a past Dowty aircraft engineer and used to make parts for the Harrier jump jet. His workshop is a sight to behold !

I am really trying to source timers themselves other than the Graupner 153 ....if indeed there are KSB's and the like about still, maybe secondhand ? I think I read about a Texas ?? timer but can't find the detail on the web again for some reason.

I'll keep hunting.

Thanks again.

Regards

Hi there Jim

Many thanks for taking the time to reply and provide such a simple principle timer that it must work. I probably already have the tube in my bits box.

Wishing you All the Best for the New Year !

Thanks again.

Our City of Bath is of Roman origin from when Britain was occupied. No doubt yours is Of the Pilgrim Fathers?

Regards
