No problems with mine on 4s and 5s or 6s, but I have added carbon fiber flat rods to the stab and wing.

So the winter has opened up the brief window when when the runway is smooth and snow packed and I can fly my non-bungee launched EDF's.

Last night I dropped a Tacon 2860-2550KV into the Meteor with the stock Dynam EDF unit and ripped a couple 6s 3300 packs in it today. 1150 watts 47amps WOT, need to temp gun it next time but the motor was running in 35 degree weather so should give me a little over head. Its only rated for 5s but gave it a shot anyway since it was just sitting around. So far it worked awesome!

Last landing hit some ice chunks in the huge smooth runway and sheared of the front retract gear. Ordered new one from Motion.

Flew slightly nose heavy even with my dual elevator servos out back but it really carved it up.

That looks great. Sorry about gear. Got a couple of flights on Wednesday on Meteor, Stinger64, Viperjet, and nitro Ultrasport 45 (OS 55 power eflight retracts)
It was a great day. No snow here.

Using the stock electronics is it okay to use 6s.. I need all the speed I can get, we have a couple of the H models out there that are making a lot of noise and the slowest one of them all has a turbine in it. I just ordered my Meteor and need to order batteries.

Thanks

I would not use 6s on the stock motor and esc. There are some that use 5s on the stock set up but 6s would be pushing it too far.

When I first got my Meteor I tried 4, 5 and 6 cell all stock. Almost any pack you use, especially anything with more cells than 4 or larger than 2200mah, you need to cut out rear stop block and move battery all the way back. I tried all the way up to 4000, and it was really getting too heavy with that kind of weight. The 2 best packs I use in mine are a 5 cell 2800mah http://www.ebay.com/itm/380792177991...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and 4 cell 3000mah with high 75C rating. Really didn't feel like i got any more speed with 6 cell.

Got the new nose gear this morning and popped it in at the field.

Three fantastic flights with three of the smoothest landings yet.

Fantastic flying EDF!

Yes it is a good edf. I had some issues with mine being squirrely on take off so I replaced the wire struts with some oleos and reinforced the wing and stab with carbon fiber strip. I've had about ten flight with no issues since then,

New Batts

Got some new Genesis 6s 65c 3300s. 96 amps and 2181 watts. I will have to watch the full power passes. ESC is only 100 amp. Does a Castle Phoenix Edge Lite 100 have any headway in the amp ratings?? Thanks

New meteor

Got mine yesterday and I'm satisfied, I assembled it last night and everything seems okay. I think they could add a plug like in the sviper for all the cables running from the wing to the fuse. I plan a multi blade fan either the vs. or the wemo. Ordered both. Too much wind for the maiden today.

Happy holidays
