Help!
Engine stopped in flight

Hi, I've got a foammy Mirage 2000 EDF 90mm. I fly it with
EDF Ducted Fan Wemotec Midi Fan evo / HET 650-58-1480 and
HET 90A HV PRO ESC 4-8S OPTO and 6S lipo 3000 mAh.
Last day its engine stopped running in flight after 1 minute. I landed hardly but it´s ok.
Lipo was ok, it´s new, with 4'10 v by cell. Two lipos more on the floor but it didn´t stop.
Could you help me?.
Thank you very much.
(I´m sorry for my English).

Id say it's the Low Voltage Cutoff on your ESC due to your lipo's capacity. that fan and motor combination will draw a few amps reducing the lipos capacity very quickly. I'd say move to a 4000 - 5000 mah lipo.

I could be wrong

A 3000mah battery is small for a 90mm jet. If you stayed at full throttle it may have sagged in voltage to the low voltage cutoff of the ESC.

It could also be the ESC overheating - has it got any cooling air going to it? Does it get very hot if you run it on the ground for 30 seconds?

I'd say the ESC quit on you, those Het units are known to be flaky. Try a hobbywing or yep ESC.

Your lipo sizing is fine as you have a very low amp setup (45amps max?) flying a very light model.

Sigue funcionando?

Yes, it´s still working.
The LVC is on 8'4 v in my programming card. I could set it until 5 v.
Impossible overheating. It ´s got good cooling air going to it. It doesn´t get hot on ground nor air.
On ground never reach under 3'5 v each cell.
Do I set LVC on 5v?
Thanks mates.
