New GM Prop

After the GM prop for 5/7 degrees , we decided to build a prop for the +6KW setups.

We used the old GM as a base to develop the new prop. The old prop showed great performance but due to bad design at the root don't survive +4,5kW powers. The latest props for SUSA are reinforced with kevlar and they are strong enough.

The first props let out the mold today.I didn't have enough time to test it today but I hope to test them tomorrow.

The new prop is made to fit the Pils system , as there isn't single problem with these props since one year at powers up to 6 kW.

It will be available with 33 , 36 and 38 mm spinners. It will be sold by Eflight and probably SUSA.Also in private.

The prop is 18x21". It has smaller bend at the root even from the Pils prop.

Pictures attached.

GM, what do I need to look out for using your 17x19 prop... does it show any problems at the root prior to failure? I am using on rfm +5, so far I like it a lot, but your statements above make it sound a little unsafe?

Yesterday the weather stopped me to fly the new prop but I made a static tests.

Props was turned at 6kW 3 times. It stayed on the hub

Pictures of how it folds to the Enigma fuse + power / voltage graph.

@ Hubbse - same as the pils prop.

@ la528it - I was using this prop in powers in the range of 4,7kW over 10 flights without problems.I know also other flyers using it without a problem.
Since now I have only 2 totally broken props and one cracked from this type.
GM 16x18 is also not advised to use over 5 kW.

Looks good Georgi.

Would you consider making hubs with the collet to fit original Sergey blades?

So we could have a Georgi Hub / Sergey Banana prop.

No Joe ,

You can have Georgi hub / Georgi prop
I see no sense of what you're asking.Neither Sergey sells props only.

I have been flying this 18x21 prop since returning from Muncie. Had to trim it 1/4" to fit Surprise 16. Setup Neu 1512/1.5D, CC180, 6s 3300 Hyperion. 6400w peak power, still pulling 4500w at switch off. I am impressed, but now I have to get used to even shorter motor run times.

had you tried the 17.5x17.5 pils before? Any comment on the difference?
