We fly at an elementary school in Moore. Great little free place to fly. School allows anyone to fly there when school is out as long as you have AMA.

Had this Monocoupe for a few months and still loving it!

I added 2" (I think or 2.25") Dubros low bounce tires and ditched the super hard stock wheels. Fits with no problems and doesn't bounce around as much on the runway. Added a 40amp ESC w/BEC.

Also for those looking for longer flight times, I use ZIPPY Flightmax 2800mAh 3S1P 30C (PRODUCT ID: Z28003S-30 ). These a few mm larger than the 2200mah lipos but fit nicely in the stock battery slot. It's tight fit with the battery door but still works. I set the timer on my DX9 to 14 minutes and land with about 20% left in the tank. This is with a mix of WOT and scale flying. It does make the monocoupe abit nose heavy but makes for some nice aggressive flying. Plus the flight times are unbeatable!

I always take my monocoupe to the field and first to fly as my "warm-up" plane then switch to my larger 1400mm warbirds

Finally got around to cutting together some on-board footage. Enjoy the scenic vista of our little flying field at dawn...

Well done! Nice flying and appreciate no heavy metal "music" grinding in the back ground.
Cheers!!

I just bit the bullet and ordered all the spare parts from HK to make one up.
A bit more expensive but I really love this plane so may as well have one before it becomes totally unavailable.

Just saw that, thanks. Good option once the fuse is back in stock.

...and of course I had to get enough spares to make up 2 planes. Lol!

Just a heads up. I would jump on the back orders before they go for good!
Aus warehouse have stopped their back orders already.

It's the Dubro but in 2" size. Any larger and it doesn't fit.

Thanks Cloud9000!

So, I have ordered the spare parts to make up a plane but I'm guessing I'll need control rods for evelator and rudder as well. I'm pretty sure the main wing comes with them. Maybe not.

Any suggestions? Sizes? Links to HK for a suitable replacement?

Any of you guys got some old ones laying around that don't mind parting with?

The wire is approx 1.25mm, you should be able to get some music wire of that size at a LHS, why not just use that with Z-bends at the end?
