Ron, shes going to be back in my garage on friday ill be in sand diego fri-sat but i have monday off, so i plan to do a joint effort on the T-38 and your F-18....hoping to have both painted by next weekend, then comes the task of decals and weathering on your F-18 which will be a couple days worth of work pretty easily.

yeah, since ive got semi open ducting, mine should sound nice and jet like, even with turbax's.

well, my aft fuse section is 8 ft long, so about the size of your whole model haha. its funny cause something like the yellow twin used to look hugw to me lol. now it looks like 1 fan would fly it hahaha.

sanded the primer last night, and made my tail pipes....all 4 ft, 2" of them. holy crap those are LOOOOONG! i did 4" exits to reduce back pressure, because they are so long.

well, its all primer green right now, but perhaps ill post a couple

im just glad im not over my weight goal. i wanted to only add a couple pounds at most and i stayed within that. the light paint job is a good part of those weight savings, because i had to add a bunch of reinforcement for the broken areas, as well as i had to beef the fuse up after adding that huge hatch lol. its worth it though, it will be pretty flyer friendly once the nose and wing are on. nothing like before, what a pain. sheesh.

Hi Brent it's great to see you didn't give up on it ,i got to many planes and now you and Andy got me started on the house insulation thing,another Hugh project something you really love,seen them in the 70-80's ,look's like the T38 could eat that F18 for lunch, hope your maiden goes well for ya, Jim.

Awww... my poor little F-18

but don't forget the little F-18 has more power than that big T-38 12,000 watts in full ducting should get it moving along just fine

The crazy part is the weights won't be that different...I'll be around 40 to 42 pounds ready to fly.... isn't yours pretty close to that Brent? if so that's so light for that size of a plane...but I may have more wing area
