Interesting. Conventional flap linkages, it appears.

Finally! An F3B model with some reasonable vertical tail volume! Looks like about 10% more vertical than the Radical Pro to my eye. That should make for some much improved handling over the current crop of feathertails.

maybe baudis is going over to LDS. I know a lot of models are shipping with it now. Although really it's just a fancy conventional linkage.

I guess some pilots will be receiving them soon.

Tom,

Hard to tell from the photo, but it appears similar to that of the Ceres.

Time will tell.... Bob ??

Even the flaps of the pictures are indeed conventional, I am quite sure the flaps on the Jedi will be RDS standard as the latest models from Baudis Model.

I am not sure if this proto Jedi was flown by Jiri Baudis himself, or some other guy helping Jiri testing out the design. What I know, these pictures was posted in a French forum claiming pictures were taken in a F3B competition in Lunen in october 2013.

So my opinion, let that be said, is that the convetional linkage at the pictures comes down to personal preferences for the person flying that particular plane.

Jiri was flying a model called "Zill" at Nardt. The planform of this new model is very similar to that I saw at Nardt. (broader chord towards the tips compared to Fosa/Fosa lift

Jiri has the ability to try many different plan form and profile combinations in prototype phase of development. It would not go to mass production without knowing first hand that it was a fine model.

The question I have is- what makes it better than the others :-)

Yes, and in the interview, a some reluctant Jiri to the less reluctant Martin
informed that proto were a "Fosabull", meaning Pitbull wings, stretched from
2,98m to 3,08 with a Fosa fuselage and stab (V-tails).

The new planform drawing of Jedi shows wingspan ended up at 3,10m.
The interesting thing for me, is if it is the Pitbull profiles in this wing or have the
profiles been tweaked, optimized even further? If, I assume it may have been optimized for F3B compared to the Pitbull, but still I have belief for the Jedi suitable for F3F as well, knowing the Pitbull quite fast and "lively", I hope the Jedi at least same fast, but maybe more stable with a slightly bigger stab than Pitbull.....

Also more wing area, mean allows more weight before hitting the FAI limit......

The fuselage from the new planform drawing most likely made suitable for Jedi,
15mm longer than Pitbull, but shorther than Fosa, I assume the stab are optimized suitable to this wingspan and fuse lenght. So the Jedi are slightly different than the prototype "Zill" of the Jedi.
