The PL8 can discharge 100w, the PL6 is limited to 50w. That's if you discharge hooked up to a power supply using the internal resistance. If you regeneration discharge back into a deep cycle both can discharge just as much as they can charge.
I have a PL6, I love it. I'm going to be getting a second charger this coming summer so I can charge more lipos simultaneously, it will either be a PL6 or a PL8, probably another 6.
