i should have left the damned thing alone.. i HAD to try a motor on my slope soarer..

i put it in a tree yesterday, cracked a spar getting it down, rebuilt it (apparently not quite perfectly though), and today, it showed me how it likes to go into a spin for no apparent reason. it was rolling to the left and pitching around like the COG had moved too far back.. yet it wanted to nose down in a glide. not the joy it was to fly before the motor went on

back to the cutting board..

Oh the humanity! At least you caught it on video.

Mine weighed 650g in the above configuration with a 1300mAh.

I built the wing for an aerobatic slope soarer but have so far only used it on this pusher trainer body. Slope maiden tomorrow hopefully.

anewton, love that wing. I need to do one of those! Looks like it flies great.

I love that wing even more after today's sloping maiden. It's perfect.

Just a couple of degrees up that´s all you need, that to the left thing is completely uneccessary for a pusher.

anewton, that is very cool. I have flown sailplanes for a long time on and off but have never flown slope. I have always wanted to, but no place close here in West Texas to give it a try. Excellent video! Thanks for sharing!
