Aviomania ' Genesis' G1

I started this one ages ago and came across it in my shed and thought it is about time it got finished. So I have blown the dust off it and been busy carving a nose cone and some wheel spats.

The model is based on a full size that I fell in love with when I first watched this video, this is proper flying!:

Aviomania GREAT FLYING Gyrocopter Agrinio Greece (4 min 17 sec)

Dead simple frame using 10mm square stuff reinforced with spruce, I have been lazy with the head and opted for the HK jobbie. Tail feathers are depron and keeping with its lightness I am using a smaller brushless motor with a gear box for a change.

This is the full size web site for those who may find it of interest

That was some crazy flying! That's one of the those videos where if he crashes it, you think, "He was a careless flyer". But if there is never a crash you say, "Dang...that guy was good!" LOL!
