Glacier batteries in stock and awesome!

I have to say I will from now on be buying these batteries after only owning one and doing a little research. Recently I purchased a Powerlab 6 combo from EPBuddy.com and a 24V server PSU from Mrforsyth on here to upgrade my cellpro 10s. Along with that order I picked up a Glacier 6s 30C 4400mah lipo and it has been rock solid! The pack construction is similar to the gens ace batteries but the IR is lower and it seems to have better capacity as I'm finding after usual flight times the packs to be well above 20%. The pack comes down almost cool every time and I feel a much better punch. I like the fact they come with a warranty from a US based company. Maybe I should not of started this thread since battery availability is so good right now lol.

Anyone else happy with this battery manufacturer?

After reading many reviews I have ordered 5 for the 130X. I will give a review of product after I receive. I am anticipating some good numbers on the data logger so time will tell. At the price the lipo's on EP are being sold at they are definitly worth a try, plus in the USA!!

Coming back into the hobby after a few years, all my LiPos (CommonSense RC 8C packs) were pretty much dead. So I'm looking to replace them, and Glacier is definitely on my short list. I wish they had the dimensions and weight for the 30C 3S 1800 packs on the site - I just sent them an email asking for that info, and if it works for me I'll be ordering 6 packs (3 3S 1800 and 3 2S 1300).

The 6s I bought was lighter and smaller than my turnigy 4000mah. I tested it today with my F-18 and the IR is still just as low as it was when I first cycled it. I just charged the glacier and turnigy 6s batts in parallel from 20% to 100% in 21 minutes!!!!

I just sent an email to epbuddy today asking the same question about 3s 1800 lipo. Whoever gets response first should post the specks. Hopefully they will add to web site.

Didn't get a reply to my email, but they did upgrade their website last night and the specs on the 3S 1800 are now up:

90mmx30mmx25mm, 143g (5.1oz)

They're about 10g heavier than the 1650 8C CSRCs they're replacing, so I went ahead and ordered 4 of them, as well as 4 2S 1300s.

We'll see how they perform when I get them.

They just changed their website up, and it looks like they are now offering the 3300mah size, and offering batteries with EC3 connectors in addition to the gawdaful T-plugs. Unfortunately, I just switched from EC3 to XT60. 'Doh!

Just got my Glacier batteries from EPBuddy/BuddyRC. They arrived in a padded priority mail envelope containing a priority mail box containing separate smaller boxes each with a battery in a bubble wrap bag. I would have liked padding within the priority mail box (the box was just big enough for all the batteries to fit very tightly) but given that each battery was individually padded within it's own small box I'm OK with the packing. The batteries were ordered on Wednesday and arrived on Friday so I'm happy with the shipping speed as well.

The batteries look very well constructed. My earlier batteries were old CSRC 8C value packs and these seem a lot more solidly built. I won't have a chance to fly them for at least another week, so I'll give more opinions when I do that.

Mine is still going strong with very low IR like 2.2 on each cell. I have been charging this battery at 10 Amps and it has not shown any signs of a problem.

You can always log in to your account on BuddyRC and check the status of your order. If it's shipped they will also have a link to the tracking number - copy and paste the tracking number into Google and it will bring up the USPS tracking.

I ordered mine on Mar. 6 and received it on Mar. 8 so I was perfectly happy with the speed of shipping.
