I just received a victory stick made by Orline Inc in Oregon from 1980. I will post pics later.
It sold for 35 bucks at that time. 56" wingspan. 40 size.

Yes, I remember those costs. Nowadays, a .40 size stick type kit is near $100 US.

I like it. Very creative. Makes me want to do something with a crashed stick I have laying around. Unfortunately I have way too many projects in the fire at the moment.

The form tube was not tapered. I had to cut it length ways and cut the proportionate amount out of it and roll it back together. Then I fiberglassed the joint. There is almost no internal reinforcing other than where the wing tube goes through and where the landing gear mounts. it is very rigid and lighter than I expected. I just did it for fun (that's what this hobby is all about) and the grandkids got a big kick out of it.

Looks like you've found something that works successfully and is easy to do a quick build on. How does it fly?

I picked this Stik up from a friend, I have no idea what make it is. I gave it to my brother who decided it would be his next ski plane, he lost a nice low wing to a bad tx two days ago. The Stik loves snow!

I need more snow. The winds blew it off my flying field.

Totally "Cool" (excuse the pun )

Fortunately (or unfortunately) where I live (Mid GA) we only have snow like that about once every 30 years or so and it only last a day or maybe two but an awesome stick none the less.

Snow flying is so much different than wheels, you know how the plane tends to bounce or at least give you maybe a less than "greased" landing on wheels? Well on snow landings it's almost art, it's beautiful how the skis touch down and the plane just quietly and smoothly slides right up to you.

My Stik. A Drastik 120 with an O.S. 160. Modifications include a nose with air scoop plus servo rudder mounted in the rear of the fuselodge and wheel pants. A Stik is a Stik is a Sitk....

Hello Sir? Yes this is the Stik addiction line, you have a serious problem hoarding Stiks and I'm afraid we'll have to take you in for treatment. We will ummm, take good care of your planes while you are locked, I mean in treatement.
