FMS 1.4 spitfire CoG query..?
I recently refurbed an FMS 1400mm Spitfire, but something has happened during the refurb and my CoG is way off! Im hoping someone might be able to help, or give me some pointers...
Basically the plane flew awesomly before. Standard set up, with 108grams of lead under the motor and a 4500mah 4s battery.
After the refurb, im checking the CoG, everything is exactly the same set up, same weight. But its tail heavy... Needing an extra 230grams of weight to ballance at 85mm from the leading edge! I did put a bit of wire in the elevator to stiffen it abit, but it weighed about 14grams i think.
Could that really make the difference? Maybe its the paint as well? Or maybe i flew at 100cm from LE before :S, but i dont think it would have flowen at that according to other peoples reviews.
Im abit reluctant to put what will be almost 350grams of weight up front when im already flying with a large battery! It might not take off!
What do you guys think?
