Have not owned one, but for information there is a "review" under Flitetest:
. Tactic ttx 850

The SLT protocol is open source so the Hitec Aurora 9 can also be used with the same receivers and Fliteready models.
No doubt many more SLT switchable Tx and compatible receivers are on the way.

it doesn't look bad at all, the 6ch one on the paper is much better than a futaba 6ch radio, let's see the price...
you can even see the trims position on the main screen that is a +1

It's selling for $150.00 according to the latest Tower Talk. I'd buy one since I have a lot of the TR626 receivers now. I would no longer have to throw an Anylink module in an old radio, but if you have such radios the option is still there.

Great pic - wrong radio.

This thread is about the 850 - here is that one...

Here is the thread on the other system - and yes it looks nice and very capable:

Hey,
some one actually linked that!
I just wrote that because I have loved the convienence of the pushbutton bind, wireless trainer, and inexpensive receivers.
I will be buying a 650 if they come out with a full range RX , as I can have signal loss when flying my large Sail planes.

I was introduced to Tactic at an RC Flight Academy last summer, and we used Senseis which came with Tactic systems. Those Radios stood up to 1 solid week of flight, which is more than the bearings in the Senseis could say!
I think that if the price of the 650 is any indicator, the DX7e and the DX8 may have a real run for their money.

The 650 uses a full range receiver.

The above link appears to be dead. Which suggests...

I noticed that a few days ago.
Suggests?
Well, maybe it won't be ready for the 2013 flying season here in the northern parts of the US and Canada.

Other than the backlit screen I don't see any difference between the 850 and the 650, stands to reason if there are two more channels there should be atleast two more switches or knobby guys?
I know that's the case with futaba, hitec, jr and spektrum, more channels = more switches and knobs, so maybe it was just a concept that was accidentally posted?
That's the only possibility I can see as they haven't filed for any FCC licenses recently, the last being for their new surface radio that was just released. Can't remember the link to the FCC I used, it was in one of the ttx650 threads.

I hadn't noticed that. Good point. The TTX850 also has a red on light and the six programming buttons also look different somehow.

It is no longer on the Tactic web site. Not sure if that is a good sign. But I suspect someday we will see it......
