Build Log
Extreme Flight 91" Extra with Hacker Q80-6L, 7000+ watts

This is a build log of a Extreme Flight 91" Extra setup with a 85cc equivilant electric. This ARF is a bit on the bigger side of 60cc planes and has only really come into it's own now with the DA-70 and DA-85 setups. I set out to get a similar power level from a electric, or maybe even a little more. I will update the first page posts as I move along on the project.

I will get a photo when I install it. I intend to run a tap off of each 6s battery in the harness to a BEC. The CB200 works like a powersafe, where it picks the higher of the two. I did a brief test and it is pulling from both BECs, This way I have redunacy without having 2 more batteries and it will get a constant 8.5V. Also the BECs will be working off 25V instead of 50V.

I have the same motor and plane but only prop it up to about 5000 Watts with a 24x10 TH or 24x12 Xoar.
What prop and batteries do you plan to use?

Awesome idea, I run the BEC pro of 25V on my 12s systems too. Bullet proof plan, IMO. Only advice I have is to secure the wires where they exit the housing with hot glue or something comparible and the secure the slack in the wires. Only failures I have seen have been wires breaking in the housing, and you have two that are redundant.
