Gas Proof Paint ???
Anyone have a suggestion for a brush on paint that is gas/oil proof ? I'm doing a special project, and don't want too add the weight of epoxy or finishing resin to it. I've had good luck with Rustolium in regards to nitro fuels, but no experience with gas. ????

The automotive urethane paints are gas and nitro proof. I have brushed them, on very small parts, but best results come from spraying.

Rustoleum should hold up well, for gas.
These models are painted with it. All are gassers. |

I've used monocote paint on nitro helis. It says it's fuel proof.

I used some cheap acrylic enamel on a gasser canopy I built 4 years ago. It went on well and doesn't seem to have suffered any?

I know you wanted brush on, but for gas I often use epoxy aerosol.
It goes on thinner (lighter) than brushing on. Look for "appliance paint" at a hardware store. |
