FX076 FBL vs. V911

Finally, my friend who was supposed to travel to China 6 months ago; finally went to China. I asked him to bring me any micro helicopter with a programmable Tx, and that was my mistake, coz he didn’t really get the difference between programmable and non-programmable transmitters. I gave him some pictures of models like Walkera Super CP with Devo 7E, but he ended up bringing me 2 micro helicopters from Fei lun company that produces the FX059! (I think the guy who sold him the helicopters fooled him about the FX076 Tx as it looks very similar to the Devo 7)

Anyway, that’s better than nothing, especially that I will never be able to pass any Tx through the customs in my country (as some of you guys know).

Both of the helicopters came cracked, as my friend squeezed them really tight in between his luggage, but I managed to fix them until I order some spares.

The good thing is that one of the 2 helicopters is FBL. I got to say it’s awesome, a world of difference. The FX076 FBL made me feel that my V911 is a turtle!

One thing that made me mad, is that the two helicopters used different protocols, despite they are from the same company, I don’t know why most of the companies now follow the same policy of producing helicopters that are not compatible?

Anyway, I am going to try my FX076 outdoor and post my experience later.

Happy flying to all of you guys

Problem with clones are different protocols even same company. WL toys has five and thats plain nutz ! V922 TX will not fly V977. Even same heli but V977 is bl. Plain and simple price you pay for cheap imatations of Hobby grade helis.
Walkera has Devo/ Blade has Spectrum. Both offer a full line of products and good TX like Devo 10 flashed will fly them all.
I understand new flyer wants most for $$. Until you want to move up.

Wonder how long till someone takes on V915 and goes bl ? Should be easy as noe V912 bl bird is out.

re-visited my f45/450 , looked at how much movement there was on my flymentor 450 . so took the blade grip of a 913 as it was wider so had more movement .after a lot of trimming and sanding matched the swing arms to the etream f45 flybar and etream swash plate made all new links (hobbyking) now have better forward/back and it seems to fly smother .no were near as much as my cp helos but its still so much fun to fly after a hard day at work, and cheap as chips to re-build if I plant it

Not a thing wrong with that ! Name of game is to enjoy. I fly mostly c/p's but nothing wrong with flying . Fly my V102D02s' with Solo-Pro 328 no problem. 911/ V929 once in awhile.

Here is my latest edition to the hangar, a highly modified Blade 400 (stretched to a 450)
ready to fly with a DX6i and an aluminum carry case.

Purchased used at my LHS, I got around $700 worth of top shelf components for $250.00.

The DX6i works great with Phoenix, and the Futaba GY520 makes all of my other
gyros seem like garbage.

I can't wait to pick up some BNF Nano QX's.

I'm happy you found my projects of interest.

We just got our "new" DX6i bound to our Blade mCPX V2.

Holy cow, what a difference it makes having full control of your curves, expo and rates.
(We bought the RTF when they were clearing them out, which included the DX4e.)

The DX6i seems more precise, and our mCPX is as smooth as silk after turning down the rates.

I wish I would have had a camera ready to capture my son's expression when it slowly lifted off
into a rock solid hover.

The only lacking feature ( which really should have been included) on the DX6i
is an illuminated power indicator, but that is easy to fix.

I still like my Turnigy 9x with ER firmware better, but the DX6i is easier to use
and opens up a whole new world of possibilities.

Now I can buy a helicopter, plane or quad right off the shelf at my local Hobbytown and
be flying in a matter of minutes.

Curiosity got the best of me today.

I wanted to know if the marks in the screen protector film went past
the film.

They didn't. This baby is in near mint condition.

You can see the LCD better without the protector anyways.

Yeah, many have to find out the hard way (myself included) that there comes a
point where there is no more performance to squeeze out of your fixed pitch birds.

No matter how many mods, my FP's are only fun to fly in low winds.

You will absolutely love a 450 CP.

Videos do not come close to the real deal. The sounds a 450 or larger CP
generate are incredible.

During initial setup I found our "new" Blade 400 CP needed a few parts before the maiden.

My local Hobbytown came to the rescue, with parts on the shelf.

Looks like almost everyone has moved on to CP.

Great news.

We finally flew the Blade 400 CP, and it's flawless.

Stable and steady as a rock, with instant and precise response.

It's by far the best machine we have flown to date.

I still like my FP's for relaxing flights, but I probably won't build
any more.

It's been a fantastic voyage and I don't regret my time fooling around
on the bench, trying new things .

Happy Flights to All !!

I am still stuck to the 4CH helicopters. My friend who was supposed to bring me a 6CH heli from China, bought me the 4CH FBL FX076c instead .

The FX076c outperforms my V911. There is a huge difference in maneuverability and response. I never flew a CP heli, but I think a 4CH FBL is midway between the 4CH fly-barred helis and CPs. It's a good step for me, and it will make me ready to be a CP pilot, or that's what I hope so .

I have always admired your Blade helis, the 300 & the 400. Both look awesome.
And congrats on the new Tx. It's a huge step .

Happy flying to all

I have a Walkera V400D02 bought almost two years ago. Made mistake of trying it way before ready. Damaged bird but not bad. Frame mounts snap easy and of course cheap servos. anyway all is fixed and tested. This is fragile heli but very nice looking. I need to do some extra moding to help make heli more duralable. First thing is now have over a year of c/p flying I did not have back then.
The rear tail/ frame mount will be easy to mod. Front motor mount/ frame mount need to make bracket to help add strenght. Stock part makes this a little hard. Some make a L braket from al. This is ok with bk. mount. Oh well no rush anyway.
