Cool
VTPR off aerotow??

LOW PASS + TOUCh&Go Ventus 2Cxa (3 min 39 sec)

OK so it's not really VTPR, but it is absolutely some great flying down low with a beautiful glider capable of amazing energy retention.

Four low passes with no lift? No problem

The model is the 1:2.4 scale Ventus 2Cxa from WEMO Composites:

Its nice to see it done big and low with a BIG glider. I have a couple hybrid airframes in mind for another 'next step' in glider VTPR. And that is E-VTPR park zone acro. The legs and body is getting worn climbing hills as I don't have the luxury of parking and flying close to home, but gotta keep sticking.

I could see myself enjoying something like that at our power field... riding high; then playing with all that energy (like big gliders can do); making as many low passes as you could; and then on the last transition nailing a smooth landing. Woo Hoo!

That video reminded me of the cool Toons aerotow videos.

Yeah, gotta love blasting a wheel-up touch & go with a 3.850€ ($5,000USD) glider with 6.25m (20ft) wingspan weighing 35lbs...

Really love the speed followed by deploying flaps & spoilers for a fast jog speed touchdown. Super impressive glider, it goes without saying that the stuff going on in Germany / Austria / Switzerland is totally on another level!
