brushless evader

hi there my brother just bought brushless evader we are not sure if you can run a 3 cell or not ?

i don't know i would call duratrax to see so u don't blow the esc.nice truck by the way my brother in law has the brushed one.

I have the same truck. As someone relatively new to this, what would be the advantage of a 3-cell over a 2?

More cells = more voltage, = more rpm. It could also fry a lot of parts if the electronics can't handle 3s, or it's geared wrong for more voltage.

yeah, for a beginner 2s is probably enough... 3s would be overkill. My Mini e revo is crazy on 2s, and I can't imagine what speeds I'd be hitting on 3s. I would probably break alot more stuff.

get on the website and look up specs on ESC, should say if it can handle a 3s, although that truck probably doesnt need it! Only time i've ever needed or seen it was in a 4x4 corr truck, since they are heavy 3s has a nice touch!

To the OP: I was able to add a few mph to the top end by swapping out the stock tires. My apartment parking lot is asphalt, so I've been running the Evader mostly on a hard surface. I bought a set of Duratrax Banditos and noticed the extra speed immediately. I'll get either Shotguns or Posses for my off-road tires.

yeh i think 3 cells might to much as it does go pretty fast on 2 cells it poped the rubber off the back rims
