V400D02 - Updated?

Hello,

I have a V120D02s that I love to fly. It's stable and I like the Devo radio.

I see that the V400D02 has come back into circulation with a Devo TX/RX. Does anyone know which RX it's actually using? Is it the RX2614V-D. I know the old version used the RX2614V, so I'm assuming. I just wonder if the V400D02 is nearly as stable as my V120D02s.

Or is it possible to put a RX-2622V/D on it and make it just as stable as the V120D02s.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

The motors and servos on the V400D02 are crap and Exceed is now selling a rebranded version with the Devo TX. That usually means the model is dead and they are just repackaging it to clear old stock. I've never seen Walkera license a rebrand of a successful model. But, it is a pretty stable heli, not difficult at all.

The V400d is very stable, probably more so than the V120 02. But yeah, the servos are crap and so is the brushed main motor.Changing those 2 things makes it a good first CP. Just don't crash it or you could bent the frame along with all the other parts that normally get damaged. I have one now with about 300 flights on it. It has brushless motor and EXI servos.

Balr14, what was a successful Walkera heli except for those new smaller ones?
So we're not going to see a Exceed mini CP?

Sure you will see an Exceed Mini CP. The current model won't last long. They will need to come out with a brushless version or do other electronic enhancements to address the complaints about short flight times. They already have an Exceed version of the Genius for $140.

The CB100, 4#3B, 4g6S and UFlyS had pretty good runs. So did some of their coaxes. I don't think most of the mid size and larger Walkera models ever competed very well in the market. Too much competition and low durability. They are finally getting smart and using high grade plastic, instead of soft aluminum.

Thats right, I have the CB100 still but needs batts and wasn't very durable. Had a couple 4#6 that were durable. I still have Ulfys converted to FBL, durable if you don't crash or touch the tail on anything. I still have a 5#10 that was fun.
I also had a Exceed Falcon40 that I learned on.
