I also just finished my "wedge" mount for front viewing. Will test that out tomorrow if no wind.

I think the reason it seemed like it was bouncing up and down is I just stuck it on and went. I think I had it too far forward, as the nose kept wanting to go down. I will try and get more COG tomorrow.

Front view. I believe I can bring the angle up some with the prop still not in view. Will measure some tomorrow. Here is a vid

Big-Poppa, Great first video, don't forget that you will need to re-trim when adding weight, you need to go level at half throttle and trim so it flys it's self more power you give the more altitude and less power it starts to decend in a steady manner.Great front angle . I would guess the trim is your bobbing problem, and when you fly without the camera you will have to re-trim again. Asboss

yea, I did have to trim the steering a little. I guess the weight on the bottom changes stuff. But its still surprisingly easy to fly with the cam though. Getting better each time with the cam though, thats why the VERY first video was real "up and down", (i didnt have the COG set right, tail wanted to go down)

Only use the parking lot for take-off's and landings, makes it more fun with the trees. Normally not a problem but with the cam attached it's a bit more tricky.

Maybe not the right place to ask but how do you do a roll with champ???

You need to place the pushrods into a control-horn hole close to the control surface, and then you need a bit of speed.

I go a bit high, descend on full power, pull up a bit into a shallow climb, and then whack the rudder hard over.

A rudder-roll will always be a bit goofy, though.

Thats probably the problem.

I was doing hard up and left or right at the same time…

A flick up does help, but until I moved the rods I could only get inverted with a 1/2 outside loop.

TW,

With the pushrods on the innermost holes, the Champ will do a nice snap-roll with those inputs if you enter the maneuver at the correct speed.
