Question
Low cost 450 motors?

What are some low cost 450 motors available? no 3D not looking for power or anything just hovering and mild forward flight.

They usually restock this motor very often, probably within 2 weeks or so. On the other hand you can try Esky motor 2.3mm shafthttp://shopping.rcmodel.hk/product_i...oducts_id=9826

I figured there would be more motors available for the 450 for some reason.

Will that thing power a 450? i thought those were built for the 300 size king?

Maybe they were built for the belt CP? i think its a 450 class

It is 28mm motor just the same as all standard motors for 450. The motor was designed for Esky Belt CP which is the same size as Trex XL. You will not get any hard 3D performance using this motor but for standard flying it should work great.

Cool, thanks i kinda like e-sky and i have a bunch of extra 2.3mm pinions would be nice to use em up.

Does this motor use the small guage wire like the king brushless? its like 20 guage or somthing really small.

The Sonix 3500kv motor from HD is awesome. I've got probably 75 flights on mine and it's just great. Plenty of power.

The motor comes with a standard guage wire. I've been using Esky 3800kv in my king but it got fried. I just received today from hobbycity ka450th and it is a little taller than Esky so it won't fit King. Both of these motors should work in Trex for standard flying.

I am quite happy with my CopterX 430L motor. Used with a 13T it is pretty good. Though it can bog with bad collective management, it is quite manageable. I'm into inverted flights now and don't find it lacking at all.

There are plenty of motors for 450 helis. Just not that many budget ones. Align, Neu, Scorpion and JGF make non-budget ones. Neu motors are like a million dollars. I have no idea why they're so expensive. Maybe rainbows and gold shoot out when you power it up.
