Did you grease it before running it the first time?

I meant did you grease the shaft prior to the maiden run? I.e. took it out of the box and greased it?

I always grease after every day of running, letting the shaft sit for a few days in the tube let's it corrode.

I did the same as you did . Greased it even before it seen water and after the run same day . Also tighten all bolt's and nut's
before it seen water . I also have the Impulse 31 V1 and never had this problem ?

Hmm not sure what to tell you bud. Stuffing tube liners are a debated topic.

I guess you should order a new one which comes with the shaft or maybe sourcing one from OSE. You can probably cut the damaged portion off and use it for now until you receive the new one.

No problem, glad I could help

Since you need the liner it's okay but I actually had a few of the stock flex shafts break, losing the props and all. I purchased the OSE shaft which costs the same as the stock one, wayyyy better. Never had a problem after that. Next time you're in the market for a shaft definitely consider the OSE one.
