the kit was passed through he shop of low expectations....

cobbled together with stuff in the shop;40 inch piece of hard wood
5 mil lam film for the wings and 5 and 3 mil for stabs and fuse.
i botched the single servo for aileron setup and dropped a couple in the wing.

it finished at 20.7 ounces, just enough for the triple beam to measure.

my favorite cg calculator tells me the cg and a wingloading of

6.45 oz/sq foot.

maybe tomorrow i will be able to maiden.i hope there is no
maiden wind jinx.

if a builder always gets the jinx and finishes one plane per week
does that mean he never gets to fly?

it has a mod sd 7037.......how do yo think it will fly?

That should be fun!

In another life I flew for JK Aerotech and worked in the booth with Ken and Jim at the Pacific Northwest Modeling Expo (or whatever it was called then). Their simple designs were and still are pretty solid flyers. I flew the E-plane prototypes and had a ball with them. Still have enough parts in a box to make a couple of them.
Consider a simple carbon spar in the wing. Back then it was simply a strapping tape spar that eventually allowed the plane to develop a "dynamic dihedral", if you know what I mean.

Keep us in the loop on this one. I for one am interested in a modern build of the Sniper.

flew it today and it flew like crap.but its strong as it tolerated a bunch of poor landings.

at home i found the incidence to be off a bit.im wondering if the short coupling between
the wing and tail will make it more sensitive to such error.

i got some flying time in though with alot of elevator up trim.
adjustments have been made.
the next few days look south so the testing grounds will be back bay!
much less forgiving!
