Cool
How cool is this. RC Scan Eagle. Now with flight video

Just got this from a flying buddy. I've had my eye on it for a long time.

I'm not sure of the manufacturer but its a fiberglass fuse with a 64" wingspan and very nice winglets.

The nose is clear plastic and I'm going to see if I can find a suitable replacement nosecone that is optically clear to put a camera in there. Right now its setup with a Littlescreamers Park jet.

Here is the video

Looks great, could you try and find out where it originated from, or the manufacturer, I'd love to get my hands on one of those.
Interested in selling???
Cheers,
R.

Very odd one you have there. I like it! Wonder what it was intended for? UAV?

Very nice, now somebody go find them, I bet there are keyboards melting under the weight of search, mine is ;-)

Any chance you could take some pictures of how you get into the fuselage, looks like its a bit tight and getting a battery/gear in and out might be a pain.

But I've wanted my own Scaneagle for ages, looks like I might have missed a short production run boat!!

access to the center of the fuse is via a square hatch on the underside.
I'll take some pics when I get home this afternoon.

Hope to put it in the air this weekend and shoot some video both onboard and from a ground based camera.

the battery tray is in the nose, so you just remove the clear nose cone and pop in the lipo.

I saw this at a booth in Shanghai in 2005. I'm surprised they never came around. Isn't Boeing a bit picky about using their name and shapes without license?
