So BDK74, why did you not use the RDS system that this plane was designed for?

Maybe a sturdy and easy serviceable linkage are better as the expected ~0.2% aerodramatic advantage an RDS system has to offer?

but this is just a guess

Bingo!!

RDS doesn't hold up to the kind of flying I like to do

I think it has a lot of inefficiencies as well. And for some reason that bugs me.

I also installed Doc's MKS servo mounts that has the output arm bearing integral to the design servo mount. Rock solid especially with the machined output arm clevis and 4-40 rod. Mine are in an Energic.

FYI, RDS or a nice clean LDS install is worth more like a couple % difference in base drag (Cdo). It is something you can feel and measure on the speed course. With that said, unless you are competing at the WC level, the extra piece of mind of a rock solid install, like that CLEARLY is, might be worth that trade. Those are some gorgeous linkages!!

Fusalage CG

Can somebodey tell me the fuselage - CG for the F3F-strong Version (CG with Wings 102mm).

I will finish my fuselage at first, i have to wait for my RDS-System (www.oberflugmodellbau.de).

Fuselage-Servos: TGY S306-G HV
Wings: Bert Kammerer´s BK-3001HV

I´m testing this Servo in my WAM-Stingray 275 on ailerons and it is awesome.
The stiffness and clearence are very good and very impressive for such a little servo.
It set precisly with a 1cm lever more than 4 kg!!
