Great Planes Escapade MX ARF GP/EP

I just came across this new sport plane at Tower hobbies. A new Escapade.
I love the looks.

I about pulled the trigger and pre-ordered it but decided to wait and see what the reviews say. I also really like the looks of it. It would make a good replacement for the Razor 3D I killed.

What does the MX stand for? Would this be for an intermediate pilot?

I am not ready for it yet, I am still flying my trainer. I was wondering if it would be a good 2nd or 3rd plane.

I don't know when I will purchase but this will be my first low wing sport plane.

All the video really shows is a few fly by's and a bunch of snap rolls. With the long fuse I bet the loops are going to be gorgeous...kinda like the loop of a Sensei.

I love the color scheme too. Some won't but I do. It's different.

I'm watching this one, too. I had the original escapade 40 - powered it electric. Nice flyer but heavy for its size. It's higher wing loading required a good bit of speed in turns and during landings.

I noticed this one has slightly less wing area and the same quoted weight. It won't be "floaty" and probably not a good choice for a second plane. But it sure looks to fly nice in the video. That long tail moment always gives excellent stability and tracking - I really like planes designed this way.
