ran out of time so i built a nutta

hi
as the title say's the indoor meetings on saturday and i have no time to build a dr1 so i built a nutta instead, only problem i only have 1200 li-polys 2s so i scaled it up a bit to 700mm, 27inch. putting all the bits on a scale it comes in at 170g, should be less as i'm cutting the cables down on the speed controller.
droping in a twin motor ips so it should go well, the photo's a bit dull as it's grey depron but it looks good with the carbon fibre.
also fixed the wing as it's so small it don't need to come off.

Those are some honking ailerons! Please give an update on flight performance. What kind of radio/servo gear are you using? Is it a A/E or A/E/R?

Thanks,
Fritz

flew it today at an indoor meeting, my first time and i crashed a few times, cutting the wing off a gws cub. this is a great fun plane
great for out doors as with the twin ips and 2s 640hd kokams
it go's straight up and is fast . got to fit landing gear and rudder. also there was another nutter there and we had a slight comming together only mine left alive

Bet the owner of the GWS Cub wasn't too pleased. Never mix fast and slow models. I have seen beginners at meets have their models chopped up by Hot Shot pilots with fast models. Not a good way to keep people in the hobby.

Hope I am not moralising too much and don't take it personal T.N. - fly safe

Michael

hi Michael
this model flys very slowly indoors high angle of attack and very tigh turns, plenty of throws, out doors you can fly it faster. also the said cub was like me in the wrong place at the wrong time .
at times there was 7-8 planes flying so you take your chance.
standing in the pits i got hit 3 times, just bad luck on my part
but the main thing was we all had great fun broken planes and all.
