The club there in LA runs both, but currently 1/5 scale is more popular due to the large 1/5 scale track that can be raced on fairly regularly.

the 1/8 bikes are catching on, but begs for an affordable 1/8 bike that may be different from the "HOR" Rider 1/8 bike for higher speed racing.

Currently the ZH bike is 1/8 bike is almost as expensive as the 1/5 scale bikes. Not many have time or resources to build a BP open source 1/8 bike. I may be breaking down to get a ZH bike soon or design my own 1/8 bike (but that takes too much time) The Open source (BP) bike is nice though!!

This will take us up to the Sept International Race and give us plenty of practice to be competitive for anyone whom shows. If we don't start running regularly our skills collectively will not be worthy of hosting a race of any kind. I put more than enough dates up and with plenty of time to plan we all could make a commitment to running our bikes and becoming better at what we do. Please post your thoughts, sentiments and opinions promptly to start a dialogue of interest.

Hey Kev I'm assuming since no one else is posting interest for this weekend that no one is attending. The first day is qualifying usually three throughout the day, and one qualifier on Sunday morning and main race sometime on Sunday. The quals are usually 5-6 minutes and the main race being 8-10 min, we usually can specify depending on time constraints.
