Nothing that will take the 5 gal of Kero i just got I have to L-39,Hawk and the Viper yet John F at our field has a shock jet that I just built for him and i have him on the buddy box. So i will get some Kero to burn

ouch, Billy good news on the stiffeners ,...mine did'nt fair as well .perhaps the extra weight of the XPS fan/motor . and yeah best 170 dollar airframe out there ,and a great size too.

Good job sir, you managed to get the cowl nice and low, did you have to do any modifications to the fuselage or cowl mountings..?

I had to do extensive mods to the mount. Essentially I glassed Rodgers CF mounting plates in.

Thanks for the pictures, even more impressive and an excellent job. Without a doubt that has to be the lowest you can get fan in this model.

Present setup is a Schubi 94 HST 6745-700. Will run on 7700mah TP 65C 14S which is supposed to deliver max 29# thrust and 105m/s (232mph?) efflux. Also plan to try the new high power Stumax 120mm (Rodgers making the Nacelle now)

I am sure the Schubi is going to be great in the Falcon, just a pain to have use 14S. Stuart seems to be able to get the same amount of puff from the same size fan on 12S, those 2 extra cells add a lot of dead weight.

Have you tried getting those big cells x 14S in the airframe?, i had to do a similar but not quite as bad surgery to get 14S x 5,000mA packs in and still get the Cg where it should be.

I used 2 6s 6800mha XPS packs in my Falcon and i came in at 21lb With 14s 5000 it should be the same On the fans... You have to get a 14s ESC to use the Schubi and just a HV160 to run the StuMax on 12s and get the same trust!!! Hmmmmm that's a no brainer to me

7,700mA packs are bound to be heavier than 6.8K ones and he has 2 extra cells as well..?

WOW!! It will fly but it's going to be a brick on landing

I tend to agree as the Velox is quite a heavy model, additional care will be needed on the pack placement to get the correct Cg, I had a lot of issues in this area..

Wait that a Velox not a Falcon!! It will be just fine with that in it.. Much bigger jet and it is all composite constitution. We had one with a P80 on it but i can't remember what it weighed
