Thanks! It was one of those evolving ideas, I wanted to add the typical ping pong ball orientation aid but thought it would be better if it lit up. Remembered that we had some of those easter eggs in the craft cupboard so, a couple of 3 LED segments, an old fiberglass arrow shaft, wire, hot glue & zip ties.... et voila

I thought it turned out pretty good, I'll get some video tonight if I can.

Thanks, the LEDs are the high density stick on ones that HobbyKing sells. I used 2x 3 LED segments in the base of the egg pointing forward.

Anyone have any video (or link to one, maybe in the 100 pages of this thread ) of a 100+ mph EDF jet with LED lights on it?

Not quite a 100mph. Flew it at half throttle or less for most of the flight. It was a lot darker than the vid shows. Had the cam on lowlux. This is as close to your request as I can get.

Nice! That's a sweet looking scale F-18. What do you have powering it? It took off pretty fast for an EDF.
Anybody with any video of nonscale, strobing or light chasing LEDs on a fast EDF jet, maybe some RGBs, UFO like?

This is my Night Flying Super Cub
She has 300 led lights on her running off the main flight batter 2200mah
Have a remote switch on the way so i can turn her on and off in the sky lol.
Having a blast with it freaking the neighborhood out thinking its a UFO lol

That's awesome, I really want to dress up my SC now!! This night flying thing could get addictive.

By the way, sounds like you have done the brushless mod to your Super Cub, what motor?
