The Pro is expected to be released later next month.

As you can see we are getting closer with the new web page for the Pro.
Prices should be posted within the next couple of weeks.

Not yet. We are working out a couple of minor issues and finishing up the software then there will be some Beta testing and then it will be ready.
We know everyone is anxious for it and we are working as fast as we can but we will not release it until it is ready.

Regards,

Jeff

Sounds good to me Jeff!

I know you guys won't let it go till it's right! If you find a little time to post some details on your scale that would be cool! Is it going to be part of the data logger as well? Which of the devices will have data output to the computer?

The Thrust Cell is powered from either the included wall wart or a 9V battery. It can also function as a stand alone scale. It will display in either ounces or grams and will measure up to 5Kg (11 lbs) with a resolution of 0.5g (0.1oz). There is an On/Off and Tare button. It connects into the Pro's Aux port.

All data captured by the Pro is sent to the computer. This includes Volts, Amps, Watts, AmpHrs, WattHrs, Temp1, Temp2, RPM, Aux, Scale, and ESC Control Position.

I think that about covers it.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Jeff

Thanks Jeff,

I am guessing time will be handled by the computer?

In a way yes. Every packet of data is sent at a know interval (there is a field in the data packet that is a sequence number) so the time can be determined from that. There will also be a "pre-processing" setup where you can slow down the samples by averaging a number of them together (i.e plot a value every 15 secs, 1 minute, etc.). This would be useful for long discharges and other testing.

Regards,

Jeff

I was taking a look at the system requirments.

400mHz Pentium II or equivalent
128mb RAM
50 mb free disc space
800x600 minimum graphics resolution
USB v1.1 compatible port

Would my PIII 350mHz laptop do the trick?

Yes your 350 PIII should be fine.
A laptop of that genration should be able to handle the 800x600 graphics resolution as well no problem .
