Can you ID this KAVAN plane?

Pick this up this weekend. It has a Saito 100. Wingspan is about 60" Looks like it may have been an ARF kit but not sure. Fuse is lite ply.

I knew Franz Kavan from when he first appeared here in the US, until his death. I visited him in his home and factory in Neurenburg many times. He manufactured a large number of accessories, the FK-50 engines, and of course a number of helicopter kits.
However, I don't remember him ever producing any airplane kits at all. Not a one - I think I would have known and been given some to assemble and test.

Another point: the Saito 100 had not yet appeared when Kavan was in the business/ Luck!

Yep! That's exactly what I meant to say. Was stationed at Zweibrucken AB, Germany from '84-'87. Favorite hobby shop was H.H. Lismann Modellbau Bahnhofstraße 15

Still there, and Harry was a pretty cool guy to deal with.

I don't have any idea what that plane is but one of my first model airplane catalogs was a Kavan. I remember the metal test prop sets they sold. At that time I thought they'd be cool flight props. :P
