Wild Wing with 204 Hobby King LED's

Anyone else running these lights? I am drawing just 1.2amps per my watts up meter...not sure the picoswitch can handle this as they rated it as 1amp at 24v but it should go up as the voltage goes down!?

Here is my build-up page, pg 70 which shows the lights, setup and video:

Any suggestions on this? I already figured out I need to add eight red led's on the TE so I can see it better when flying away from me.

I just ordered some white ones but still need some green/blue/red. The yellow ones are very bright on 3S. Cant wait to get enough lights to test them out in the sky.

Sweet, love your flying wing setup.
I'm gonna do the same to one of mine.
Wish there was a quiet motor for the flying wing.
That's one big advantage of using a SS or IFO for night flying.
Very quiet motor and prop.

You could build a super lite WW that would allow for slower flight, smaller motor with a bigger prop along with a smaller lipo. I plan on taking off the 7x5 and going with a 8x4 so I can run my bigger 2200mah lipos....this will give more thrust with a little less speed...I usually run a 8x6e but it drains the lipos pretty fast but does give close to 100mph flight speed.

Ever get disoriented night flying at those speeds?

I stuck my wing first time I tried night flying with it.
I only had key chain marker lights on it.

I tried the finder lights on my Flash 3D plane...was very hard to see as the led are only single and not very bright....once you install the string leds there is no comparrison. My wing colors are dark on the bottom and lite on top, I also did the led's that way...so red, blue and green on bottom. All green on top...this helps a lot.

One more question about those light strips.
Since each set of three is resistored for the voltage you should be able to mix up the colors on on feed right?

Like ten of each color soldered together in a strip.
