3 storeys? You're gonna need a tree lopper or a cherry picker.

How solid is the tree? If it's a bit bendy three stories would just be in range of a line thrown over a branch.

I use a big sinker on a fishing hand line. Throw it over an appropriate branch and then use the fishing line to pull a rope up and over.

Use the rope looped over to shake the absolute carp out of the branches and bit by bit they've always made their way down.

Let me cut the long storey short... My plane actually just glide onto the tree... During my forward thumble manuvoer, the battery actually get thrown out of the plane and therefore the plane is without a battery and is light... it actually just glide and fall onto the top of the tree. I try to get the plane down using ropes and weight and I actually get a rope burn of my hand now... after a few hours of trying... A saw someone is flying in ajacent field and I approach him and see him fly and tell him about my plane and he also give me a hand in getting the plane down using rope and I was suprice when he tell me he is a police... (which also eventually get rope burn too) haha...

Now.. then I know police do fly RC too...

But I really appreciate everyone giving their comments here especially the police which give me a hand to get the plane down.. Thank him a million...

Cheers,

Allan Chan

A good way to get one out of a really high place is with a bow and arrow. Put a tennis ball on the end of the arrow or some fishing line than a bigger rope once you get it close.

I also use different lengths of PVC pipe tapped together.

Or you could always give your local fire brigade a call, they are always looking for excercises (they will get paid to do it!)
Worth a shot i reckon~

I have an extend-able pole that is used for a Bali flag, goes from 1200mm to 6mt when extended, cost about $35 from Kite Magic in Sydney. Its great for getting planes out of trees.

?He didn't ask for a fishing pole

Seriously though, you could do worse than asking the fire brigade.. they might be interested in "rescuing" the plane as a team-building exercise, or widening the training for one of the firefighters.

This is my rig for doing just that, kids bow courtesy the last local hard rubbish drive and a 10 buck reel from Kmart

Local power companies have extendable poles they use to open and close breakers.
All the linies depots have these poles ....they have 'out of service' poles they may lend you.
I have an old one 2.5 metres closed and 11 metres extended. ...have been known to put 6 ms of plastic conduit on the end also....hard to handle then)
May not be long enough for your situation however but just a thought
