I have to agree with the comments on the HK site...this plane is odd/clunky-looking -- downright ugly actually -- compared to the same-genre, but very nice-looking "Clouds Fly" at HK. The preinstalled LEDs could be a cool little feature though. That spindly landing gear reminds me of the Harbor Freight Wild Hawk.

I think what makes it look so "wrong" is that it looks like they made the fuse so bulky just in front of the prop, and the prop is so small, that it appears very restrictive of the airflow for propulsion.

Yeah, it doesn't have very graceful lines but it is just a cheapo foamie, I didn't buy my Easy Star or too many of my other cheapo foamies for their aesthetics, really only thing important to me with these cheap foam toys is their value, ie bang for buck.

actually, it only weighs 2Kg PNP with landing gear, the AXN Clouds Fly weighs nearly 3Kg that doesn't sound like overweight to me.

How about "Porky Star?"

Actually I like the hatches and room for fat fingers to work in. The size is also nice. I have been hoping Multiplex would come out with something this size with the same flying characteristics as the ES.

Following the reviews, is it a very tailheavy plane !
So you need a bigger battery like a 3000 mah...

Watching the takeoff in the video above shows it waddling on takeoff which would seem to indicate that it is indeed tail heavy. Get the big battery in it and it might fly well. My ES flies great with a 270 gram battery pack and is very stable in the wind.

I'll be removing the LG, don't need it, it's a park flyer and I fly over grass, hand launch and belly land everything.

RICCS Pusher Star arrived

Pusher Star was delivered today.

After a quick inspection of all the components, I'm impressed with the quality and the thoughtful design of this trainer/sport model. Note, this is clearly not a motorized glider like the Easy Star and numerous EZ copies. This is more like an easy flying sport plane. I like all the hinged access doors, the readily removable sturdy wire landing gear, and the magnet retainers for the canopy, and the motor cowl. It also has 4 wired LED's with connectors that can be plugged into a spare channel or share a channel with a Y cable.
