Problem with the car is the ground plane created by the roof. If your "compact GS" place the antenna 24" above the roof, then yes.

Hi Hugo

Made a 5.8 turbine
I used 0.6mm wire, do I need to adjust lengths to suit as I know your tutorial states 0.5mm.
Used these lengths :
Arms - 1.73" 43.94mm
1st - 1.077" 27.36mm
2nd - 0.743" 18.87mm
Center - 0.229" 5.82mm
Can I adjust the center spacing to suit as the first one is already built to your 0.5mm 5.8 specs.
I can only find 0.6 and want to build another in 0.6 gold plated memory wire.
Want to use these for 250 carpark racing as we get really bad multipathing at the mo with spironets.

Thanks Chi

Nice job here.

Multiply by 0.987, but the bandwidth is wide enough not to worry about that.
You can also use upper end channels.

The Vulcan 5.8!

The Vulcan is a gatling type array of four sniper antennas tuned to work in unison.
The result is an impressive 18.5dBi and perfect axial ratio on the main lobe.
The main challenge was to design an efficient phasing/matching network. I'm very happy to say that I achieved <0.5dB loss @5800MHz.

Size is 6.25" x 6.25" x 2.5"
For best results, install your Rx directly to the antenna and have it move along on the tracking station. (Of course, you may not use a tracker if go for a planned one direction trip.)

The X-AIR 5.8!

What's better than a crosshair? Two crosshairs! 13dBi, super wide beam, maximum axial ratio, only 45g!

I say the same, I started with buying antennas from fatshark, immersionrc and vas but have exchanged all of them to antennas from Hugo, using both 5,8 and 1,3.

I didnt know that 1,3 could have such a high quality picture until I got the antennas from Hugo, very impressed.
