Makes sense I suppose. They have just released an A123 charger and have a wide and complimentary product range.

I wonder if they will be soldered packs or spt? I would prefer spt myself.

If its Hyperion you can be assured they will be good. I couldnt be happier with all of my Hyperion purchases.

Excellent news but what are they going to cost ? It seem that "non Ebay DeWalt" sources are pretty expensive. I'm down to about $11 US per cell doing the Ebay way .

Great!

You know there good stuff when a big name in electric sits up and takes notice. Considering what Lipo's cost and their short lifespan, if they sell halfways between Lipo and ebay prices I think they will have a market. Horizon must think so also.

My ebay purchases cost a little more than $11 per cell, some have been lucky, but not me. Plus they had tabs, I would rather build spt packs. That way you can build packs with lower resistance and have the oppotunity to replace cells if need be.

A123's are giving me the oppotunity to build a 3000watt setup, something I could not have considered using lipo.

I think everything above $18/cell would be too much for these packs.
I wouldn't have a problem with spot welded low resistance tabs. I would also prefer balancing taps. Since they now have a A123 version of LAB10, I would be surprised if the packs should come without it .
