Yes it can be done.
But I wouldn't use a Feather Rx in any aircraft that I ready like. Too much bad press on the Feather.
IMHO

Yes, there is no reason it will not work with what you have. BUT, at best, the Feather has a 500 foot range or so. Unless you are building a really slow flying park flyer type of EDF that will always stay in close, the Feather RX is just not a good idea.

Many folks have good luck with the smaller GWS RX at ranges of about 1000 feet or so.

You would be much better off with a Hitec 555 on a twin EDF model.

I would use the hitec 555 or JR610M.
I all the hitec 555 I haved used worked great, even when all the electronics are basically pile on top of each other. I have been testing a JR610M(full length ant.) for a couple of weeks now and it seems fine too.

I have had good luck with Berg 6 Ch Rx, a lot better range than the Feather. I have two of them. It's only a single conversion Rx though.

A better Rx than the Feather, 555 and Berg is the FMA Extreme 5. It's a dual conversion and it's only 0.5 oz with a crystal. IMHO.

What is the range of the GWS Naro receiver? Would it be enough for a 42" 600 sized model?

As mentioned above, the nominal range of the GWS micro RX is about 1000 feet. Some have had good luck using it outdoors. I would be a bit hesitant to use it at long range at a crowded flying field.

Range is not a problem with the GWS (long antenna), crowed field is.

What I said is what I meant. Long range AND crowded field together, not as separate conditions. Mine works happily at near OOS range flying alone, as do many other folks on Ezone.

Also, short range and crowded flying field can be an issue as well. The little GWS RX, flying by another TX, while a long way from your TX, can create a swamping condition.

The GWS is great little RX, but is not, IMHO, the best choice for an EDF application where a fraction of an oz does not matter.
