EMAX Multirotor 4in1 ESC- confused.com

Hi - anyone any experience of one of these?. Manual in chinglish and makes no sense.

I've got one strapped to a Q450 with KK2.0 and emax xa2212/980 motors.
all setup well. arms fine. But for the life in me i cant figure out how to throttle calibrate the ESC (do i do it once, or all 4 individually) or even ensure they're all aligned properly. For example, how do i know signal wire 3 be in the 3rd KK2.0 motor input?

There's a 6 wire output from the EMAX, first 3 include BEC, then individual signal wire (i guess - cos no schematic) for i assume motors 1,2,3,4

any help - would be appreciated.

Cheers

I just set a quad up with one of these. I had to calibrate each individually by plugging directly in to the receiver throttle channel.

Great - thanks for prompt response, will try this when i get home tonight.

Once working how'd u get on with it - any good ?

So
1. Plug each output from 4in1 into throttle reciever channel, one at a time
2. Reverse my connections from 4in1 into KK2

J

I haven't flown with it much. I wanted to figure out how to turn off low voltage cutoff first. It seemed to work pretty well though. It looks much nicer than having four separate escs also.

All working. Tips for others.
1. if using with KK2. the EMAX needs to be mounted upside down (ie red plate facing downwards) so the output S4 goes to motor input 1 on kk2, S3 to 2, S2 to 3, S1 to input 1.

To calibarate, can do indivudally. Each EMAX output (s1,S2,S3,S4) to go one at a time into throtlle channel of your reciever (bypass the KK2) . Put transmitter at full, turn on power and connect battery to emax, wait 2-3 secs for beep, move throttle to bottom position asap, wait 2-3 for beep and throttle back up. For S2,S3,S4 which DO NOT have +/- power, you'll have to put S1 into another channel except throttle and repeat above - a little confusing as you'll get two ESC beeping, but follow above and works.

Anyone wants to me to run through with them, just inbox me.

Happy flying ...

I like the combined neatness, centralized weight distribution, and the SimonK firmware, I'll update when I get it tested

These EMAX QUATTRO 25A x4 in 1 Brushless Speed Controller ARE JUNK, I would not recommend them at all. Within 30 Seconds of Initial testing without props, one of the four ESC burnt. Please save your money and get some standard ESCs.

Man that stinks, probably literally. Maybe you got a bad one. I know mine has worked flawlessly running Emax 35mm pancake motors on 4S.

Good thing you can get a single board to replace the burnt one from Emax.

Would you have a link for Emax?
