Scale Boat Light Holiday Parade in Florida

The North Florida Operating and Radio Controlled Association of Shipwrights (ORCAS) hosted a holiday light parade with r/c boats on December 1st at Colonial Manor Lake Park. More than a dozen large scale boats were decorated with thousands of lights and paraded around the pond and fountain for visitors to view from shore. The ORCAS have been hosting this event for many years and visitors look forward to watching these festive boats as part of their holiday tradition. Below are some photos taken by Jim Messer. Very nice! Would love to do another in LA but the city closes the parks at dusk and require a very expensive permit and payment to have lifeguards on duty if we want to have a night run.

Great write-up and pics! I've always wanted to do something like this with my boats.
