Thank robairt, very interesting indeed......surprised too with the Spanish dialog and Portuguese writing. The Para-glider seems to be using a brushless conversion!
@FranciscoB
Were did you find out its cost?

Will need to rig up something to see if it binds to the FS, I guess.
IT BINDS!

Got a couple batteries with NineEagles connectors that almost fit the oem connector. Looks like it would with a slight mod to the battery connectors.

But I cut those off and put pico connectors on the batts plus changed over the brick to pico and all works good. Mode 2 FS T-6 TX works exactly as it should.

Next up I've been planning to build a Nutball airframe (already have a UM Cub) since they are easy to build and fix/replace.

Not sure if I will do a mini power pod or not. I want something easy for a novice to fly indoors - not overly twitchy or aerobatic - so I think a little under-powered will be OK.

Really could use advice on size. I'm thinking somewhere in the 12.5 to 14 (maybe 300 to 350mm) inch range out of single layer DTF (4-5mm Depron equivalent?)

I can scale the 17" plans down but I'm wondering if there are any tweaks that I should make to keep it easy to fly. I was thinking of just using skids for gear, but also hopeful for lightweight ideas there, too. (Zip ties in front?)

PS - +1 on those hanggliders and the ultralight in the videos!

@robairt, I googled Bastermodel and ended up in a couple of brazilian shopping sites, namely Mercado Libre and Prešo-something.

Two more videos of V911 based aircraft for possible inspiration. This time it's a kite-plane or rogallo.

Anyone given thought to / attempted a micro-gyrocopter using the V911 board?

I haven't seen a V911 micro-gyrocopter but this little Plantraco controlled contra-rotating auto-gyro has always intrigued me:

The post seems to have enough details and photos to build your own.
Here is one of the videos attached to that post for interests sake.

Its on my list of things to do! I got a hobbyking G2 & caught the autogyro bug a bit, I have been considering a similar layout to the G2 using a F939 board & geared motor . There are some pretty cool depron designs in the autogyro forum to draw inspiration from.

I still have a couple of projects to get through first, I made a box fuselage type 1.2m extra that decided to shut down mid air, it slowly nosed down & plummeted to a fiery death . I am currently rebuilding it...
Next I wanted to make a little floater v911 3ch decathlon using the same methods (sanded box type fuselage with hot wire cut XPS wing).

Could someone offer advice or insight on the following helicopter product:
http://www.banggood.com/FX051-2_4G-4...-p-971498.html.
It seems to have receiver board with separate servos and the price appears attractive.
