Wow - If eBay doesn't resolve that for you, all they've done is help a criminal prefect their craft. The chinese government subsidized shipping make it virtually free for them to run this scam. The chaos of chinese new year helps the scammer explain away any shipping delays... Really, eBay needs to figure out how to detect this or this will become a regular occurrence. I'd be surprised if someone isn't teaching classes in how to pull this kind of thing off.

The Chinese have subsidized shipping? Now I understand how they can almost always "free shipping" even for the cheapest things.
It should be open and shut. You ordered a GoPro-you got beads. With the numbers of people scammed by this, you would think that EBay/PayPal would go back and do a "class action" refund for everyone who bought one of these. If they don't then they are just as big scammers as the scammers.
Let us all know how this turns out, perhaps we could put pressure on them to do what is right.

Okay, I got my $19.92 back 3 hours after escalating my complaint to eBay customer resolution. I used almost every character in the form (2000) explaining how disappointed I was that eBay was allowing these guys to thread the eye of the needle of their rules/regulations. Had I not escalated it, they would've won out, as I was being told to wait until the item arrived and send it back to china, then send the tracking number to eBay. It would've arrived after the date my case closed, I'm certain of that. I might have gotten a refund, but I'm sure there are many more who won't.

I bought 2 like this a while back had to go through PayPal refund process when all I received was junk in mail.

They open site collect money for short period until E-Bay catches them and they still end up with lots of $$$ in country that does not go after them.

Ebay and PayPal stand behind what they say

Its nice to know that Ebay and PayPal stand behind what they say. I got scammed, but they are making good my loss.

In post # 14, I said
Yes, this is starting to sound like a scam.
Ill just have to wait and see what transpires.

To-day, I just got an email stating:
Resolution of Your Case: #PP-002-193-092xxxx
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Jonathan

We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your
favor.

We were able to recover $49.99 USD and this amount has been credited to
you.

I received my "GoPro" in the mail a while back... it was a coin from Lima. It actually came in handy. I use it to balance out my Bonsai wing when using a 500mAh battery.

Because use the pay later feature with PayPal I didn't end up paying a cent because the transaction was cancelled and the PayPal case was decided in my favour.
