what prop for neu 1115/1y on 3s 4s and 5s

I have a neu 1115/1y and only 3s packs right now and was wondering what prop I should use to achive the fastest speed in my funjet ultra. I plan to also get some 4 and or 5s packs next week... what size pack and prop do you recommend for the fastest performance

A "Neu 1115 1Y" is a motor from "Neumotors" (Steve Neu). The KV is listed as 2800 and continuous watts 700 with surge watts 1400 and it weighs in at almost 6 oz!

The Neumotors web site has free to use software to simulate what that motor will do with various props and batteries.

alls I want is flat out speed. and I read the first 3 pages of the above link and was completely lost. I think mainly because those guys keep most of their setups secret.

Those guys were talking about F5D or pylon racing, there is another category for top speed I think too.

If you go to that forum and use the Advanced Search to search just that forum for your motor you will probably get hundreds of hit. Some of them will mention props and stuff I'm sure. But if it is a secretive community or event, you're just going to have to take what you can find I guess. I don't know how many of the guys that "know all the secrets" come to this forum but if one of them does, I wouldn't think that they would be any more likely to share them here any more than anywhere else.

But good luck with it...

Really? How do you know that?

It's 2800Kv on Pcalc, Castle Creations and the Neumotors sites.

Yeah? And what do you base your statement on?

Jeez. Everyone is a Neumotors expert around here.

Kv is a fixed part of the motor design and afaik does not vary with voltage input.
