My first reaction was the same, "wow they fixed all the bits I was going to mod".
But then I started to be concerned about replacement parts, even the motors look different from the ones on the net and I can't find Double horse written anywhere.

My opinion, for what it is worth, is you got a bogus 9053. Everything looks different, even the circuit board.

As requested a closer shot of the transmitter.
Changing this to mode 2 will be a major pain as the pot assy's are pcb mounted, so 20 joints to desolder, 12 lands to cut , a lot of jumpers and 30+ solder joints.
If I am sure its a clone/fake I will request replacement or refund mainly because of parts availability.

What does your charger look like...post a pic of that if you can.

It is just a plug pack and the lead plugs directly into the battery balance leads, no separate charger unit at all.

This is the charger I have for mine:

I will contact the seller and tell them I want it replaced, as I just realised it doesn't even have the dual rate switch among all the other differences.

Found it on the net it is a BA-9053G not a DH-9053 as advertised.

In terms of functionality, I think your BA-9053G is similar to the DH-9053. In fact, it made a few improvements on areas that DH owners have always complained about. That might be a bit of a good news. However, the biggest concern is replacement parts. DH owners know that they could get replacement parts for their helicopter. I'm not sure if we can find parts for this BA model. If not, then it is a death sentence.

As far as Dual Rate is concerned, the button that controls it is usually located at the upper left corner of the Tx. Yours control the lights?

If I were you, I would reject this one.

Sport Tail Rotor Blade works perfect on my DH9097...no mod needed for tail fin..plenty of clearance.
