What engine is it? I am putting in an RCV58 four stroke in mine. Hoping it should provide scale like performance. Being that the RV-4 is rated for a .48 - .70 FS, a .61 should work fine unless it is one of the early four stroke engines that may be less powerful compared to most modern versions.

Hey rcwings. It is an earlier model OS .61 FS. Going to give it a try as the price is right

Hi rcflyinff,

I figured it was an old OS by the displacement you noted in your first post. Some of those earlier four strokes were a little anaemic and heavy. Still, no reason why it should not fly the little RV. Good luck and let us know how you make out!

On my bench....covering process has been well under way with the wing almost completed. Pilot has been recruited and seems to be of the correct size/scale. Definitely on the home stretch now!!!

I used the Great Planes 1/5 scale. GPMQ9016 I have to run, but will snap a picture of him in the cockpit and post later so you can see what he looks like in the plane.

Here are some shots of the pilot. He does not look impressed! Suspect he is thinking he will not be flying this year....but I assured him he will in the spring! LOL Wings partly covered and wiring cleaned up. Ready for top skin. Don't mind the fuse as still needs final sanding....
